Getting people out of their comfort zone and into a new game can be really challenging.
This article gives some great advice on how to ease players into a new game. My advice is to wait for a break in your regular game and run it then. If not all players can make the game for example, then run something new as a one shot. If it goes well then the players themselves will sell the game to the other players for you.
It’s because I only have so much time to game and a limited number of groups (two, one firmly set in Pathfinder) to experiment with. When the latest and greatest RPG hits the shelves (or Kickstarter), it’s on me to introduce it to the group.
